Comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of 3 types of discharge devices for belt conveyors

In engineering applications, conveying bulk material belt conveyor in addition to the head drum unloading, but also required to be able to unload in the middle, and sometimes also required in the middle of the multi-point unloading or a section of continuous unloading.

Unloading device there are three main ways to choose from: 1) plow unloader, 2) unloading trolley, 3) reversible with warehouse belt conveyor.

1.Plow unloader

Plow unloader is divided into manual plow unloader and electric plow unloader. Manual plow unloader is now only used in some small coal mines and power plants, new coal mines have been rarely used. Most of the electric plow unloaders are variable slot angle.

Variable slot angle plow unloader is mainly composed of electric pusher, driving pusher, variable slot angle roller group, flat roller group, plow plate and electric device.

Its work is characterized by the unloading plow in the external force to promote the fall, the plow under the conveyor belt supporting roller group can be synchronized with the unloading plow in the external force to promote from the groove into a straight line, at this time the unloading plow scraping plane can be pressed on the upper plane of the conveyor belt, to achieve the bilateral or unilateral unloading.

When the unloading plow in the external force to pull things up, the plow under the conveyor belt to support the roller group from the spreading shape back into a groove, the material can pass through the current plow unloader, thus lifting the unloading state.

Its advantage is to greatly reduce the wear and tear of the plow unloader on the belt. The disadvantage is that the structure is relatively complex, installation and commissioning is more troublesome, the use of occasional action is not flexible, jamming and other phenomena, and at the same time, due to the conveyor belt and unloading plows under the scraping plane fit gap can not be adjusted, there will be material unloading phenomenon is not clean.

Plow type unloader is used for unloading at any point in the horizontal section of the belt conveyor. Plow unloader has two forms of unilateral and bilateral unloading, which is suitable for belt conveyor with belt speed V=2.5m/s, material granularity below 25mm and less abrasive, and the conveyor belt adopts vulcanized joints.

2.Discharge trolley

The unloading trolley is mainly composed of reversing roller, driving device, material funnel, active walking wheel, driven walking wheel, frame, brake and electric control device.

In order to improve the unloading process dust pollution environment, unloading trolley can also be equipped with dust removal system and tape sealing device. Unloading trolley through the redirection of the roller drop material thrown into the three-way funnel, the material in the control of the electric flap can be respectively to the two side of the funnel or the center of the drop mouth. The material falling to the middle discharge opening is mainly used for adjusting the position of the unloading trolley and adding material to the tail bin.
